Swedish chemicals agency, Kemi, warns against the use of hazardous substances in artificial turf.

The Swedish Chemicals Agency, Kemi, has stated that new artificial pitches should not use materials that contain hazardous substances, however it does state that the current rubber granulate used has not shown to pose any significant health risk.
